Sunday night, a cop took the life of a one year old boy at my local Wal-Mart, because the child’s mom and the friend she was with were accused of shoplifting and were fleeing the scene. It’s been terrible and made national news. There was a protest Tuesday.

I took the close up lens from my Lomo Instant Wide and held it in front of my Samsung NX 300’s 30mm lens. Holding it on there while also trying to manually focus the 30mm was precarious. Horrid little plastic close up lens + imperfect manual focus = maybe dreamier photos than I’d imagined (I like!)

My Montana brother is here (please ignore his hair 😂 I basically stopped him mid hat adjustment for this.) Our niece actually looks even smaller next to him in real life than she does in the photo

My niece is in Chicago, and she (someone with an anthropology degree) has been wanting to go to the field museum. We thought it was so great because she happened to be there when the Pokémon exhibit was opening, BUT all the tickets for that are apparently sold out in advance for awhile. Bummer.

I used a baking tin that belonged to my Mamaw (my mom’s mom) to bake cookie bars in last weekend. I love how used and bruised it is.

Day/week/month/year ruined. I never use my camera without the strap, but today I thought I heard my sister’s name called for drink pick up at the coffee shop, and I turned around quickly and this bounced off the floor

I’ve never been much of an iPhone shooter (I mean, being intentional about it,) but I have been having way too much fun with disposable camera apps and editing photos with “aesthetic” or “film style” apps lately. It’s scratching an itch.
