Driest summer for NYC in more than two decades ! Who's team sun ? This was the driest summer for NYC since 1999. 30th driest(out of 156) overall. Summer in the climate world is June, July and August. Not to worry, reservoirs are near average. Over 80% of our weekend days were dry

Coolest summer in over a decade ! Best summer ever ? This summer was the coolest since 2012. Mild change from last summer which was the 7th hottest in 156 years for NYC. In the climate world, summer is June, July and August and not the solstice/equinox.

Back from a week walking in the woods: Backpacked in Vermont on the Appalachian Trail. Saw moose poop, swam in a mountain lake, climbed Stratton mountain and rode the gondola to the pub. Had a mouse chew into my tent at 2am and had to evict it. Weather was kind.

Summer season is 1/3rd done. This is weekend 5 out of 15( from Memorial Day to Labor Day)…AND we finally get a beach weekend. The last 3 weekends had rain and all four were cool.

Look up ! Full moon is happening. It's called the strawberry moon. As it rises, it will start off at it's lowest point since 2006. Won't appear this low again until 2034. It will look full for the next two nights. Rises tonight at 9:23 and tomorrow night at 10:13
