Maybe it’s worth repeating: if the political goal is to prevent pro-Russian parties from gaining power, the best way to do that is to help Ukraine defeat Russia. Without Russian funding, there’s no propaganda machine churn and no political foothold. Everything else is just talk.

A murderous drone swarm is slowly creeping in, already in Kyiv region, so they will be in the city soon enough. There is a high chance of a combined massive attack too, tonight or tomorrow, soon. We just have to sit here and wait for another night of terror as Europe sleeps.

Sometimes I remember that top intelligence services in Europe and overseas knew about Russia’s kill lists and mobile crematoria in 2022. Those who could arm Ukraine to win offered guerrilla war support. Every fighting day is a chance to do better I still hope for them to take.

Helping Ukraine win today is still Europe’s best option to avoid fighting Russia tomorrow.

At least 6 people were killed during the morning attack on Kyiv, two of which are children.

I think right now more than before the safety of Europe depends on Ukraine’s victory more than on any treaty or promise or plan that tries to round it. Nothing will protect Europe from a Russia that isn’t stopped in Ukraine.

There are better and more honest ways to communicate the idea that Russia can be defeated if more countries commit enough will and resources to it than repeating “time is not on Russia’s side.” That phrase ignores the reality that time is bought with Ukrainians’ lives.

In Pokrovsk, russians are shooting civilians. The first photo shows man carrying a wounded woman in his arms because her legs had been shot through. She had apparently crawled along the street before he found her.

Any leadership that does not prioritize Ukraine’s victory is, in practice, helping Russia achieve its goals. Simple as that.

If Russia were rendered unable to attack other countries, it would cease to exist as the omnidestructive, Kremlin-run state we know. Yet, for reasons difficult to justify, too many political leaders in Europe still seem to be weary of this Russia’s collapse more than of its aggression.

Ru sent drones to Romania and "reckless" is a buzz word in the official reactions, but what does it mean? Ru is sending the drones deliberately not inadvertently, so reckless as "thoughtless" doesn't work. Reckless as in "ignores grave consequences" would be good, but where are the consequences?

Sometimes I worry that the warning that defeating Russia is an absolutely necessary condition for preventing its fascist proxies from gaining power will not be heard in Europe in time. And I do think there’s still time left, but with no strong political will in sight, it’s hard to tell how much.

If NATO won’t react now (and they won’t), soon these drones will be flying over the Baltics, deeper into Poland, and more. Surely they will at least try to shoot them down, unlike those that come kill Ukrainians, but I don’t expect much beyond that.

Not a common or popular thought but Russia with its increasing allies and warfare capabilities doesn’t have to cross Ukraine first to escalate the war into Europe. It’s just more countries would have to defend themselves like Ukraine does now. However hard it may be to imagine today.
