Please don't treat grindworks going as the death of toontown. It's only ceasing development due to the way higher ups on the team handled everything. You don't have to forgive ppl who defended mica, but I hope those who realised their mistakes are given room to prove they meant what they said.

honestly all i'm gonna say about the Stuff here is like. i cant really fault people for being manipulated all this time. especially by them. they're not only dangerous but also wickedly smart. it was not surprising how everything went down, in retrospect (not that that makes it right)

Grindworks staff begin guilt tripping in the discord because no one wants their work associated with the game anymore It was probably more of a "punch to the gut" to all the people who contributed to see you guys defending a groomer and abusing your staff positions to bring it into the discord.

"Being in the Toontown community is like being in an abusive relationship" and it's a lot of people not fuckin wit your game any longer cuz you're willin to keep n bat for a groomer FOH

so highly heartbroken by and disappointed in the toontown grindworks dev team the community should b a place of care and safety for everyone, and sheltering a predator isn't the hill to die on if making the internet and game in general fun for everyone is the idea :/

Chloe, the lead developer at Grindworks, is currently going around and blocking people who are talking about the situation btw. Many Grindworks staff are supporting mica in this situation and claiming her to be the victim. Careful what games you choose to support.

please do not discredit what sheriff cranky is saying about mica just because it's cranky saying it, cranky is probably the most qualified to speak out given his proximity.

Stop using the law to say if something is or isnt predatory, a 40 year old and someone barely 18 is technically “legal” but that doesnt make it any less imbalanced, also again, the potential of abuse from the victims end does not take away from their actions, you people are spreading ABUSE APOLOGIA.

Even if they were abusive as a victim that doesnt take away how originally predatory power inbalanced of an age gap that was You people are making points that aid in hiding predators, all because you want to continue playing a game, you people do not give a shit about victims at all.

Something that pisses me off when it comes to grooming situations is excusing the groomer because the victim is a bad person. That is a bullshit excuse, no matter how bad a person is it does not fucking excuse someone getting groomed or anything like that. Grooming is never justifyable.

repeatedly lie that they were doing something with it when they weren't. I didn't take the reins and demand change, even with what little I had to offer and I still feel remorse that I could've done something to alleviate later issues. Toontown for the better part of its existence now has been -

run of the people, by the people and for the people. It has brought joy, laughter and lifelong memories to so many of our lives. And you cannot let the worst people heist the best things about it. Don't let predators define your community, be the community that does something about it.

Don't let enablers poison the well with half measures, let joy define your community. Toontown is ultimately a community and that means you have the power to choose what goes out there. Use that power, don't let others use it for you.

One more thing I wanna say about the whole Toontown shit. It's a grave mistake to allow a game/community to be defined by the absolute worst it has to offer. Its a mistake I myself made when I slowed down my activism in Smash in the fallout of July 2020 to "compromise" with people who went on to -
