Last week 17-0 and a yellow card after 15 minutes. This week 22-0 and a yellow card after 30 minutes. Ireland using the Scotland playbook, quick ball, spread it wide early in the phase play. Not rocket science but bloody effective.

Having watched highlights back of Saturday, apart from Finn's virtuoso performance, the thing that most stood out for me? Amazing what a difference a functioning lineout can make! First and second phases we were electric. Scrum was under stress but we just about got away with that.

Italy might just have done Ireland a massive favour. The contrast between Prendergast and Crowley could not have been more clearly emphasised.. Prendergast reminded me of a young Marcus Smith. Nice touches but not 6N class, especially missing the security that the glue of Bundee Aki offers him.

Happy to eat all the humble pie I deserve. Been incredibly critical of so many things, but today was for the players. GT used the word after. Brave. In everything. Play fast and loose, take risks. Took me back to wins early in his reign, when we were a threat from anywhere on the field.

Brilliant and going to enjoy the game and the night. Means nothing if we don't win next week. However that's for next week.
