With a lifelong passion for the natural environment my other half often returns home with some super images. Hobbies (+dragonfly) at Cosmeston Country park yesterday. They are probably only here for a short while now as like other birds they only visit for specific periods of the year.

Abuse and intimidation, is never acceptable. I love a chat with local people, particularly on the bus to and from work. Sometimes though personal safety is an issue. If you travel a distance to my home to intimidate or harass me you will be reported to the police. Sadly I’ve had to do that today.

Today we said goodbye to our friend and colleague Councillor Howard Hamilton. The Council flags were flown at half mast for a man of deeply held values who cared passionately for all in need and worked tirelessly on their behalf.

Sometimes I visit interesting places and meet amazing people. A semi-derelict site will now provide garaging for TfW’s gorgeous new rolling stock and guarantee the sustainability of rail travel into the future. Alun, is the driving force that has turned around rail services in Barry. Diolch Alun.

Every Saturday Labour Councillors hold a surgery at West House in Penarth from 10-11. I hear that tomorrow there is a protest planned. There is absolutely no need for protest. The kettle will be on, we may even have biscuits. Call in for a chat about any queries or concerns or just for a cuppa.
