I keep seeing time is an illusion, that may be true, it is we are firmly embedded. So it is as if it's true. I think there is wiggle room and fissures that can be explored and exploited magically. But what works for me may not work for you. Our physical form is locked in time. What about our spirit?

My 3 kids and I took turns writing lines of poetry for my wife's birthday while enjoying Saki. Then we illuminated it.

So why am I rambling about a river? I have found this allegory to have the biggest impact on my magic and my life. We are all stuck in the stream of time and once we have been on this river we will have always been on this river. #Witchsky

#Witchsky On the river of time paddling is the physical actions you decide upon to try and steer yourself. Chucking rocks so that the ripples help you along or impede others is magic. Size of the rock, where you throw, when you throw, all help or hinder. These ripples have unintended consequences

Imagine floating in a river in a wee boat,you can only look up stream where you have already been by. This to me is us in time. You cannot see where you're going only where you have been. But there are signs and sounds of what's ahead. Divination is like using a small mirror to see ahead #WitchSky

I've been thinking about fate and how it is the momentum of events. We enter life and are tangled in a Momentum of events we have no control over. We ride those threads or are entombed in them. Later Unweaving some, resting upon others. Then maybe we start weaving our own. #WitchSky

The dark time of the year for us in the Northern Hemisphere. A time of rest and reflection. I think self reflection is a thing we are terrible at as a society and that's part of why we struggle and distract ourselves with food, drink, sex, gifts, and indoor lights. Then again that stuff is fun.

I have to say, this time of year just before the Winter Solstice, I don't ever feel like really doing anything. I remind myself that now is when nature goes to rest.

#WitchSky I find Fate has more to do with Momentum of events and decisions made further back in the timeline. Some that we weren't even involved with. To change fate with magic is to try to understand these moments in the past and nudge them to the outcome we seek. However it can be a lot to steer.

I have been pondering why I chase magic. I don't know. I wonder if birds ask how they fly or if fish ponder swimming. I know that I crack myself open and tear out my innards and examine them, put them back. I breath and rest and find myself doing it over again. I am a moth and magic is my flame.
