This particular instrument is made from an urn. Yes, really. An urn. With a flame scorched headstock. This has beefy 62/48/36/26 gauge strings tuned to Low Taro (CFCF) which oddly balances out the warm, vintage response that humbucker provides. #cigarboxguitar #cbg #fourstring #urn #lowtaro

Here's a custom build fresh of my workbench, #061 "La Resoña". This is my first ever resonator build made from a '76 Smith & Wesson mahogany box. I used a lighter gauge string set to let that resonator vibrate and tuned it to a very "traditional" GDGB 🎶🎸🎶 #cigarboxguitar #cbg #fourstring #resonator

Fresh off my workbench is build #059 "Thin Glint", my first finished build of '26. Gold hardware, dual rail pickup, and a box 30cm thick. It packs 42/31/24 gauge strings tuned to EBE and plays and sounds silky smooth. #cigarboxguitar #cbg #threestring

Three builds finished tonight. I strung and wired this last one about twenty minutes ago. Everything works, playability seems alright. I'm going to let them sit overnight to settle and check for any issues tomorrow. Once I'm confident they're good to go I'll post beauty shots and bumf for all three.

Three necks for #wipwednesday - first coat of tung oil, at least three more coats to go. At <20% RH it should go reasonably quickly. Once they're oiled up and cured I can attach these to the bodies and start installing hardware. #cigarboxguitar #cbg #wip #workinprogress
