The older I become the sadder and more bitter, more resentful the world makes me. I try to have hope but it's nothing like what I had in my youth. I once believed that humanity wasn't destined to self-destruct, I don't believe that now. We're so flawed, society is so weak, a tenuous thread. :'( o7

Trying to figure out of BlueSky is being really slow for anyone else? I keep getting this message (see image), when I press post, though it will eventually go through. It seems to get better if I get off my Wi-Fi network, but only for a time, then it's better back on it, I'm perplexed.

Maybe it's the brightness (physical and mental) of living in Miami, but everyday I see the silver lining in the clouds. Actually seeing it, brings it into my physical being. Life can't be so bad as long as there's a silver lining to the clouds. It's the art of nature, and it moves me, everyday.

Has anyone else noticed that bluesky is really slow today? Like sometimes I'm having to hit the post button multiple times, and just recently it said it posted but I can't find it, it does not seem to have posted. Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking It's bluesky. Everything else is working fine.

The healthcare system is sicker than the people who desperately need healthcare. Reading about this stuff makes me feel like I need a shower, and I doubt just one would be enough. I'm honestly not sure any amount of soap and water could make me feel clean again, I feel so disgusted.

Got this text today, but um... I'm a registered Democrat and I've mostly voted 3rd party (not recently, Trump is dangerous, life is about evaluating risk).

Things have been really rough in the last week. My pain has been completely out of control. It feels like every time I think I kind of have a hold on it, it gets worse. I try to live in the moment, to not give pain its own story, but it feels like the pain has become my story, and I hate that.

One minute of what it's like to rock in my hammock at sunset. The music was the actual music I was listening to. I don't know whether the phone caught it from its own speakers or whether it took it from its internal self. Still beautiful music, and a beautiful little video of not much at all

I said happy birthday to my best friend, and said it's still your birthday week (I texted him on the day because he was out of town), and he said "technically my birthday week was last week" so my response was "we're old now we get two" 😂 I'm sticking with that when it comes to my birthday too. 😭

I got frustrated with the camera settings on my stupid phone today and I love my boyfriend for this, he's like "I'm gonna go watch something with Monk (my kid), try not to smash your phone." 😂 I told him it was too expensive to break, and he laughed harder.

I noticed that the only jewelry I wear isn't fancy. It's sentimental. My father's Rolex (I own my own that's actually nicer, but I wear his). A silver ring my grandmother gave me. A necklace with a capsule of my father's ashes, it looks like a realistic heart. A Japanese coin from my boyfriend...

Happy turkey day. What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for all the people who have helped me along the way. All the grace people have given me when they didn't have to. And I'm hopeful for a future life where I feel better than I do now.

I'm always amazed when l come here after not feeling well for a few days and I actually have a couple days of replies and ♥️,'s. It reminds me that just because I'm sick, I'm not forgotten. Been super nauseous and it makes me not want to do things. I'll be ok though, good enough. I can try to eat.

I'm really proud of myself for learning not to listen to people on this app that are obviously trying to tick me off, and just block them instead. There's no reason for me to get worked up over anyone else's nonsense. My life and my views require zero justification or validation.

I post music, because I love music, I hear it all the time, I have a soundtrack for my life, it's technically a minor bit of psychosis, but I feel like I'm living in my own movie, wouldn't change it, wouldn't even want to. My life is special partly because it has a soundtrack.

It's Thursday night so of course someone is playing super loud music in my neighborhood. What's interesting is that it is super loud like Arab techno music. It's good. I like it. I want to scream so loud. I miss working in places with a walk-in freezer, because you could scream so loud you'd have to cover your own ears, and no one could hear you. I want a small walk-in in freezer to make a nest in, they were the only place I ever truly felt myself.
