I've always loved the name "Tall Poppy Syndrome"." It describes a terrible thing that's happened to me more than once. When I think about it, it's incredibly apt and actually kind of a beautiful way to describe it. You could say less talented people took a shit on me, but it doesn't sound so nice.

My little backyard fire. Don't worry there's nowhere for it to get out of control to. It's been raining and those bricks go on for at least 8ft in every direction. It's also a small fire, mostly damp leaf debris and cardboard, lit with a little kerosene (I like trench lighters). Easy to kill.

I feel like favorite songs etch a pathway in our brains. If the song makes you happy then it doesn't matter what situation you hear it in, hear it 20 years later while doing a bank robbery and you'll still be happy, also, some sadness is exquisite to wallow in, that's what all that music is about.

It seems weird to say I'd forgotten how much I liked to draw. Since I never actually stopped. I did stop buying nice sketchbooks and things to draw with though. I became like my dad, Queen of the cocktail napkin drawing. Always borrowing pens and scribbling on scraps of paper.

Has anyone else with celiacs noticed that once you went gluten free, the longer you stuck to it the less your body seemed to be able to tolerate it at all? When I ate crackers I could eat onion dip 🤏🏻gluten, now I eat a couple bites of onion dip and the next day I ache and feel ick. I wish for death.

My first drawing with oil pastels in over 20 years. Nothing special, just wanted to see what they could do and the sunset over water is always lovely. I had forgotten how nicely they shaded color, better than colored pencils, they get your hands dirtier, probably why I never used them very much.

Also that glitters, isn't gold. Sometimes it's pyrite. It can be hard to know the difference at first glance. Don't be a fool, glance twice.

I'm disabled, there will be no getting back into dancing shape. I'll never dance to Rhapsody in Blue ever again. My body wants to, but it can't do half the moves and exhausts half way through. It used to be my big solo ballet piece, and I can't even dance it. I love it, but hearing it makes me sad.

Does anyone here know about metals? I know a bit, but not enough for this. I have acidic skin (the kind that 1% of the pop. has, that will eat leather, it tarnishes silver, see the chain, it shined originally) the charm has a capsule with my father's ashes please see alt. txt. #metalworking

I've discovered that true appreciation of classical music lies in caring what orchestra played it. There are certain pieces where I like a specific orchestra's version over all others, or one soloist above all others. Like those particular people captured lightening in a bottle.

Spending money I can't afford to order dinner because I'm just too tired to make anything, and it's the end of the month so they're isn't much here. Of course it's not cheap, since it has to be gluten free. I hate using credit for food. I really don't think that should be its purpose at all.

I woke up and immediately fell out of bed today. It's normal to sleep kind of close to the edge but not that close. I can already tell today is going to suck. No good day starts with falling out of bed. Plus I didn't get my time to lay there for like an hour, so it already feels like it sucks.

I was listening to this song, and I had no idea how you were supposed to pronounce the artist (I was guessing b-b-n-o-dollar sign). My kids friend comes over, hears me listening to it and says "oh you like bb-no money cool" I say what? He says it again and I'm like is that what they're called, lol.

So happy I did all that meal prep earlier in the month because after getting something for my mom (which of course was not gluten free) and dealing with the dishwasher and cleaning the kitchen, refilling the water bottles. I was too exhausted to make anything. Then I remembered, stew in freezer 🥹

No matter how I try I just can't seem to get reciprocity right. Either I don't get it, I just listen to everyone else's problems and they don't make time for mine. I'm everyone's therapist. Or the second anyone actually pays attention to me, I go overboard because I'm so excited anyone cares.
