No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

1/2 When Mike Pence stands up and impliedly says, "Mr. President what you are doing is wrong" the world has truly turned upside down. On that note Billy Bragg's song, "The World Turned Upside Down" is right on point as to what the Trump/Musk Axis is doing.

I wonder how did we get to this point? And each time I start down that rabbit hole I end up at the same answer. We let greedy people warp those folks we elected to represent our interests. The ultra wealthy before Musk twisted our tax laws and trade laws so as to recreate feudalism in America.

I go to bed each evening 5 hours before the news cycle day really ends in the eastern time zone. Every morning I wake up wondering what have Trump and Musk done now to destroy the heart and soul of America? I try not to look before noon because it takes me that long to steel my nerves to handle it.
