We spent a lot of time recording in LA back in the 80s. One of our favourites was AGO in West Hollywood, co-owned by Robert De Niro. We loved it then and still recreate their oven-roasted garlic & rosemary potatoes with wood-fired roast beef and porcini gravy. This I can do. Have a great night

This is John. He’s a foundry worker who stopped me at the shops to say hi. He also told me that his claim to fame was that he was in the ‘Working Class Man’ film clip for a second. Just a second, but a moment for all time, mate.

Meet Cookie Rodgers, he’s staying over for a couple of weeks. I miss my Schnauzer boys so much, it’s great having little furry guy around.

Life is a walk in the park on days like today. We came accross family of swans this morning. I was born James Swan, that’s me…the ugly duckling. I think the cygnets look pretty cool.

Picked from the river garden to bring up for a few city meals. Nothing like a day in fresh country air, I couldn’t keep saying ‘we need the rain’, even for a Scotsman like me.

Last night was the opening night of the ‘Working Class Man’ documentary at @melbfilmfest It was great to have my family around me, the love of my friends and peers. A huge thank you to all you music fans who have supported me over 50 years.

My dear friend Kate Ceberano has released ‘Australian Made - Live’, an album she recorded while on tour earlier this year. It features Cold Chisel’s ‘You’ve Got Nothing I Want’, along with a number of other incredible Aussie songs. Look forward to sharing the stage with her on my upcoming tour.

We’re at the ‘Music In The House’ fundraiser tonight, which is honouring my good mate Troy Cassar-Daley, and helping support music workers doing it tough. Mahalia and I will be performing soon… I think we’ve gotta do ‘Shutting Down Our Town’, a song Troy wrote for my album My Criminal Record.
