You ever feel like the world is actively doing everything in its power to stifle your voice and ensure your creativity never gets the chance it needs to just... flourish, and make itself seen? That's how I've been feeling nonstop for about two weeks now. My heart aches. A lot.

You know, even if this whole project fails, and I never end up becoming anyone in this fandom I hope I at least inspire someone who does end up achieving that.

I need to stop worrying so much. People WILL love and cherish my characters someday. I know it. I WILL find my audience.

I've been working on redesigning my characters a bit and have been worrying nonstop over whether or not it's gonna be enough But today I log on and see people attempting to redesign that new cat character everyone is obsessing over and I realize You just can't please everyone

I think the reason why people aren't really interested much in my characters is because they're not simple/cartoony enough. Maybe I should work on redesigning them.

I do wish I could hear a bit more from people about what kind of appeal these character designs have though. Just to sort of hear what people like or dislike about em, I guess

I honestly don't know why I let fanart of indie media crush me so badly. Sure, it hurts watching as other creators get to live out my dreams while I'm trapped here in perpetual retail hell, but... I'm sure people will appreciate my story just as much once more of it is out there... right?
