Finished the body of the stocking hat I've been crocheting. 🧶 Just need to make the pompom. I'm going to crochet one rather than make one of strings since the last string one fell apart.

I allow myself one off the rails what the f*cking hell?! A day. This is today's. Maine's coast while beautiful is a cluster-f of jagged rocky unpredictable shores often mired in fog. My great grandfather and his brother ran their steamer aground trying to navigate in a blanket of fog.

One of the nice things about making a hat or basket is you have a ready made place to put your supplies when you stop working. 🧶

The flippers who redid our MD house flattened all the trees & bushes in the front yard. Left us two barren hillsides of wood chips. Zero flowers, bushes or hope of any. Then this spring random things started to emerge including one lone red tulip. A symbol of hope in the wood chip wasteland. #irony

This project started out to be a hat. Unfortunately it is too big around. Rather than frog it I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch colors to work in brown and white to make a basket instead.
