Columbine in the courtyard, and a volunteer in the walkway between the house and carport. When you see columbine in the forest by a mountain stream, it seems so delicate. I never expected one to grow up through gravel in a high traffic area. These are straight from the camera with no finishing.

New Mexico: Still sane enough to be parodied.

Even though I usually have a macro lens on my camera, I rarely shoot photos of flowers anymore. However, I had to capture the color of these hydrangeas my wife bought at Costco. The color of the blossoms is continually changing. #photography #flowers #bloomscrolling

Since the libertarian party first became a force in American politics, it has been doomed to being fascist. If you reduce the government to nothing but an army and a police force, all that’s left is a police state. Even though I have believed this for years, seeing it come to fruition is horrifying.

We don’t have ravens near enough to our house to establish a relationship with them, but this guy posed for me at the grocery store. He sat there while I got my phone out and rolled down the window. After I took the picture, he and his mate swooped and soared around the parking lot.

Yet another sunset

Another day another sunset. I’m using a Nikon Z6-ii camera with a 105mm Nikkor lens.

The rest of the family is up on the deck watching the sunset. To avoid the cold I’m recalling one from a few days ago.

I walked around the neighborhood this afternoon. The clouds and the mountains were beautiful in that Taos way, but I didn’t want to break the mood taking pictures. The sunset had to be recorded.

The snowstorm that hit the Sangre de Cristos Wednesday and Thursday is all but gone.

My DSLR is in need of maintenance or replacement. I’ve been trying to capture sunsets with my older iPhone.
