#Inqtober - 31 - Inquisitor The final prompt of Inqtober, and I decided to do a power-armoured inquisitor. Her armour says Ordos Malleus, but her hat says Ordos Hereticus. Tomorrow I will post a full-page-final, with links to my deviant art (and better quality pics). Cheers!

#Inqtober - 30 - Chapter Serf A serf of the Iron Knights chapter, born from a long line of chapter serfs, and dedicated to the maintenance of the Godwyn pattern bolters of his company. I really wanted to show off the size difference between a normal person and an Astartes Boltgun. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 29 - Street Vendor To go along with the Festival Goer from day 9, This is the meat vendor at the festival. Another happy fellow. Perhaps they only get a shipment of real meat for the festival, and the rest of the year its corpse-starch nuggets or something.

#Inqtober - 28 - Abominable Intelligence My first thought for the prompt had to be one of these silly little guys. A robo-squat, with a pick axe. Such a good little fellow. I didn't have a template for the squats, nor the armour, so I had to do a fair bit for this one-off fellow. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 27 - Street Punk I figured I would make a simple Escher Ganger for this one, maybe a novice of sorts. She's only been in a few fight so far, though shes got some scars for it. I am starting to run out of steam a bit, but I think I will be good until the end of Inqtober. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 26 - Lexmechanic Just a low-level fellow in the adpetus mechanicus, showing off his scroll of mechanicus law.

#Inqtober - 25 - Joyride Pilot so originally I was going to try and paint up a vehicle of some sort, but that was going to be a bigger time-sink than I wanted, and then I remembered the Last Chancers from the old white dwarfs. Grease Monkeys crime was stealing an Eldar grav-falcon for a joyride.

#Inqtober - 24 - Faithful Retainer This is some sort of bodyguard within an Imperial Knights house, which I always thought was one of the coolest additions from the last couple editions. However, I always wanted it to go further, with feudal lasgun-troops in support of Knights. A man can dream.

#Inqtober - 23 - Scholarum Attendee Okay, I had a lot of fun with this one, mixing Warhammer 40k and Spy Family. I did feel the small Imperial symbol on her uniform wasn't quite enough, so I also drew her canine-servo-skull who helps her day-to-day.

#Inqtober - 22 - Domestic Servant I just had to draw a maid for this one, in some sort of fancy spire-borne dwelling. I tried to keep the decoration minimal, with only the Aquila being prominent. Also, some sort of eye-covering so the servant class do not gaze up at the eyes of their betters.

#Inqtober - 21 - Saboteur Some sort of deep mine worker, with a bit of a purple-ish look to him. I figured this might be some sort of true believer in the 6-armed emperor, or whatever local idea of the emperor they have on his planet. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 20 - Planetary Governor I wanted somewhat fancy for this fellow, like perhaps he is the governor of a small mining world or something, not big and flashy, but very comfortable (especially compared to the mining-populace). Also, big moustache.

#Inqtober -19 - Xenos Navigator Here is a jaunty Air-Caste Tau Pilot, ready to fly circles around the nearest imperial vessel (and hopefully not catch a broadside). Had fun doing up a new template for this fellow, and I will probably make more Tau templates, Cheers!

#Inqtober - 18 - Techno-Shaman I was reading lots of the Dark Heresy RPG (and Rogue Trader) in the lead up to this month, and I loved the description of Icanthos. Basically a world of mad-max warlords, and whoever collects the most Ghost Pollen is crowned the planets governor for the next 5 years.

#Inqtober - 17 - Priest-Militant This fellow is some sort of armed priest of his small order. Tall hat and boltgun seemed like a fun combination. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 16 - Lurking Predator Instead of a Tyranid or other 40k xenos, I decided to make this, a Catachan beasty. Just one of the endless predators on the planet of Catachan, it is a big-cat like creature, with a mouth like a sharks. Oh, and it leaps, out of the tall grass. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 15 - Assassinorum Student I went fairly simple for this one, just a novitiate of some sort of death cult. Their gear resembles that of other proper assassin temples, but is of lower quality (except for the blades themselves).

#Inqtober - 14 - Suspected Daemonhost So I figured, if I just drew a fellow with horns and warp energy, it would be more of a "Confirmed" daemonhost. This "Suspected" daemonhost is a senior administrator whose work is always beyond reproach, and yet results always lead to major logistical losses.

#Inqtober - 13 - Noble Conspirator A very fancy member of high society, with a grav-hookah of some sort. Now, when we hear Noble Conspirator, we think they are doing some heresy or something, but what if its a conspiracy to unseat a heretical governor or the like? That's what inspired this one.

#Inqtober - 12 - Enslaved I couldn't resist drawing some sort of Penal Legion type character for this. What was his crime you ask? perhaps he was merely born to a prison colony, perhaps his great-great-great-grandparents spit in the street or something. Warhammer 40k is a bit grimdark.

#Inqtober - 11 - Resurrectionist One of the names for old-timey grave-robbers, so I figured I would continue with that. Maybe he gets bodies for a Magos of the Biologis study, or maybe for terrible Chaos reasons, either way he's getting paid. I had to give him a cyber-eye to make him more 40k.

#Inqtober - 10 - Lonely Servitor Well, in stark departure from Happy 40k, here is a very lonely servitor. I figure he was left on the other side of a bulkhead, with instructions to guard the door, but no foe ever came. So he just sits there, waiting for instructions.

#Inqtober - 9 - Festival-Goer Here is maybe my favourite fellow so far in this 40k-themed october, an actual happy fellow. This mid-hiver is enjoying some sort of street festival, and has a meat kebab. He also has his nicest green festival garment on, and his purity sealed hat.

A little diversion from the regular pixel art, here are some Victrix dark age miniatures I will be using for Pillage. I am currently just trying to get two 300gp forces together to start some small skirmishes. I also have enough (still unpainted) to field a 24pt Lion Rampant force... eventually

#Inqtober - 8 - Nunciator This divine Hymnal Servitor, is basically just a speaker system on a simple grav-suspensor, with a few servo-skulls attached for the heck of it. I do imagine it can be quite loud, and constantly sings hymns, flying high above the Hive streets.

#Inqtober - 7 - Reliquarist This imperial saint (a very minor one) was lucky enough to die horribly, but to have his bones preserved in a reliquary, with a holo-image of himself. The Servitor praises the saint for his sacrifice, and answers questions from wayward Hive-goers.

#Inqtober - 6 - Undercover Informant For this one I just wanted to try my hand at drawing up a typical Orlock Ganger from Necromunda. I figure a few of them have to be informants, to the Arbites or other powers that be (even if its only to snitch on rival gangs).

#Inqtober - 5 - Infiltraitor A real rough day in work and real life, but I had a lot of fun making this fellow. I imagine him as the 40k poor-mans (Heresy-mans) version of the Eversor Assassin. He's got power claws, arcane devices, and lots of combat drugs. Hoorah!

#Inqtober - 4 - Street Beggar This 40k fellow is a veteran from some planets PDF. He suffered grievous wounds, and was either not lucky enough to get a prosthetic, or his "feudal world" is one where its populace have an allergic reaction to cyber replacements. Either way, a bad time.

#Inqtober - 3 - Alms Collector This is a low level priest who wanders the mid-hives, collecting alms and donations for those even poorer than the mid-hivers. I am going to enjoy that a bunch of these prompts are for non-militant and civilian warhammer 40k characters that you don't usually see.

#Inqtober - 2 - Logis Augur One of the adeptus mechanicus whose mission is to map/understand the immaterium, often through the use of hundreds of comatose psykers hooked up to arcane machinery. Hell of a thing. A spooky guy, even among the other magos.

#Inqtober - 1 - Agri-Machine This is a simple servitor machine designed for rolling up and down aeroponics galleries, perhaps in a hive, or on a ship. It has a silly grabber arm, and a water/nutrient sprayer. Great little fellow.

Just got hold of the Pillage wargame book, and a Victrix Rus warband. My plan is to kitbash them (along with other dark age stuff I have) into some dark age Lithuanian tribes. Today is a good day :)

I got inspired, and decided to finally make the last Crab mech: the Hermit Crab. (There may be more crab-related mechs, gods know there is a multitude of mechs in Battletech). Also I figured it would be good practice for the October daily-drawings to start throwing pixels about. Cheers!

I also got finished some Dragon Rampant stuff; A Grey Seer riding a Miasmic bell, and some Goblin wolf riders. The Goblins are going to be a Light Rider unit, but I am not sure what to do for the Grey Seer, a spellcaster or wizardling, but I'm not sure which unit type to use. Any suggestions?

A good week, I finished up these two additional cavalry to count as Anointed in my Trench Crusade warband, along with a death commando. The cavalry are made from Perry Miniatures, Wargames Atlantic, Warlord Games, and some bits that I have no idea where they came from.

Some workbench stuff today, I've been building a Baneblade variant (mish-mash really) for Trench Crusade - its going to be "the Dragon" for said scenario, so I needed lots of space on top (I got my whole warband on there). I also assembled 2 foot units of Cathayans for Dragon Rampant. Cheers!

Man I wish there was a market for heroes for hire and regiments of renown, I can't think of anything I'd like to design more.

I just finished game 4 of a Trench Crusade campaign, and my heretics are doing well. I decided to use my cavalry models as anointed, since they are tall enough and have a 32mm base. I am halfway through painting up 2 more kitbashed cavalry, with a flamethrower and a panzerfaust (grenade launcher).

My entry for this months "Traitor Guard" challenge at my local game store. This is "The last stand of the traitor 58th", and depicts my homemade regiment (The Zai-ku-zaii Riflemen), which I've drawn and written about in 40k (mostly RPG stuff). This is the first time I have made a mini of them.

Another recent miniature, this one is some sort of Necron walker from warhammer. I got it specifically to be the "Thing from the Fog" for my last war campaign, since I kept rolling it on my weather table. I tried to paint it different than all the other Weird War stuff, so it really looks alien.

Haven't showed off some miniatures in a while, so this is a Technical Tuk Tuk I painted up recently. I had a few of them printed by a friend, and the camo one is joining my weird war fellows (with the same camo as earlier small tanks). The yellow one has just been good terrain for cityscape boards.

I just finished reading The Singing Sword, by Jack Whyte, and I swear the whole last half just flew by. I don't even know what to say, It was great, with so many emotions at the end. I have the whole series, and am pacing myself going through them, but I kinda want to dig the next one out now.

we have grown used to the idea that we should only call or write public places when we are angry. this is basically how reactionary mentality has molded us for the last 100 years. if you have even an inkling of appreciation fpr a public facility, send them a letter. let them know you love them.

Two days ago I had another Trench Crusade day, with 8 people over, having something like 5 games during the course of the afternoon (we also just chatted and the usual time wasting). We are now playing 700pt games, with proper scenarios, and preparing for a campaign in the near future. Cheers!

For Forbidden Psalm The Last War, I ended up writing up a scenario which played kind of like "The Birds". Each turn an increasing number of birds spawned, and I had to get my crew from one side to the other. Though the birds were very weak, 47 spawned during the game. It was still very fun!
