Angeline Era swooped in at the very last minute and has quickly become one of my favorite games of the year, definitely takes the prize of GOTY indie game of 2025.

My PlayStation Wrapped just dropped. I can't say I find any of it too exciting or surprising.

It's awesome to see Metroid Prime 4 running so well on the original Switch. It has longer load times as you'd expect and it's noticeably blurrier, but I mostly play in handheld mode on my OLED Switch anyway so it'll still look quite nice.

Is it really too much to ask more developers to add gyro aiming as an option to their games? We've had the technology for the past 15+ years and it has only improved, but most developers just completely ignore it.

One thing I really appreciate about the Dreamcast is that a ton of games are compatible with the VGA cable and not only does it make the games look very pretty, it also makes playing on modern displays a whole lot easier.

I'll be forever disappointed that we'll probably never get a third season.

Given the current state of Windows and the likelihood that we'll all be forced to upgrade to 11 one way or the other, I think I might start looking into Linux.

Even if Ghost of Yōtei doesn't end up becoming my GOTY, the Watanabe mode soundtrack will definitely be my pick for best game soundtrack of the year.

So there's a kind of funny, but also kind of annoying bug in Ghost of Yōtei where your horse will run away from you when called. It seems to fix itself when you restart the game, but I really hope it gets patched out soon.

It's October, which means it's time for my annual 31 movies for Halloween log. I'm starting a little late this year, but it shouldn't be much of a problem catching up.

I'm over here thinking Ghost of Yōtei is still a few weeks away, when it's actually set to release on Thursday.

I probably won't be getting Silent Hill f anytime soon, but so far I think Little Nightmares going to be more than a worthy substitute as far as atmosphere and tone goes.

I've been playing through Condemned: Criminal Origins and while the combat can be a bit janky by today's standards, the overall atmosphere and sound design is still pretty top notch.

I've been going down a horror game rabbit hole and came across Ecstatica, a mostly forgotten survival horror game from 1994 and man this game is fucking nuts. Right from the start the game is relentless and does the whole invincible stalker thing several years before Resident Evil.
