Tonight's #NHLJets game is being officiated by just one referee. Travel issues prevented the second from arriving here. The league let the Jets and Nashville Predators know earlier today.

#NHLJets are now 6-2-2 since the Olympic break and 13-6-5 in their last 24 games. 16 games left. Probably need at least 24 points to make playoffs. Something like 12-4-0. Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? No.

The #NHLJets complete the weekend sweep, beating Colorado 3-1 on Saturday afternoon then St. Louis 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. 28-28-10 overall. 4 points out of a playoff spot (pending tonight's results) 16 games left. Next: vs Nashville Tuesday

A solid, above-average crowd of 14,756 saw the #NHLJets knock off the NHL's No. 1 team here at Canada Life Centre. That's less than 500 short of a sellout.

Cole Perfetti, earning some big trust from coach Scott Arniel, is out here to defend the 5-on-6. And he steals the puck from Nathan MacKinnon in his own zone, then fires it long-distance into the empty net to make it 3-1 #NHLJets with 42 seconds left.

Now, the ultimate test for the #NHLJets -- can they survive the first 2 minutes of the 3rd period without giving up a goal? They've surrendered one in 5 of the last 6 games.

#NHLJets were quite animated at the end of the period over that. Clearly felt they weren't properly set/weren't given enough time.

Brock Nelson misses a WIDE open net with seconds left in the 2nd period. Colorado had a similar glorious chance early this period. All the puck luck going the #NHLJets way so far as they take a 2-0 lead to the final frame here.

The Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor and Alex Iafallo line has taken over this second period for the #NHLJets. 2 goals and plenty of other good chances.
