Quite impressed with how confusing and difficult cancelling a car insurance renewal with Admiral is. If you wanted to make something incredibly annoying that doesn't quite block the user from doing what they want, take inspiration from it.

A happy drying rack this morning with another layer going on my #linocut landscape. Next layer: not grey.

Next layer on my #linocut! Pondering where to go from this point. One thing I love about reduction prints is the ability to change direction a bit at every single stage. I could even not cut anything and just add more inking for the next layer if I wanted! I don't think I'm going to do that though.

Getting along with this little #linocut. I don't like the clouds but I'm persisting to practise other aspects. Next layer goes on tonight!

Changing the foreground design for my current little #linocut with the aid of a red Chinagraph pencil. Can't get the original Indian ink marks off the block, so I just have to go over them with something I can tune in to while I'm cutting. Speaking of which, bring out the gouges!

I need to get back to doing some basic leg strengthening exercises at home again, today's aikido class showed that they're not as strong as they were when I was training three or four times a week. I want to build that back up so I can aim for 4th dan, but I do need my legs to be okay with it.

I ought to go to sleep but my cat is sitting on my belly in a perfect loaf and gently purring.

So who signed off on the YouTube Music recap design? I get that they can't just copy Spotify's but this is simply hideous. Also little of its analysis makes any sense, it seems very biased towards the second half of the year and just very confused about folk music.

My aikido school offers three 1-on-1 lessons to new adult members to help them get a handle on the basics before they have to deal with a full class. Tonight I taught the 2nd lesson for a new member who, while arranging his 3rd, asked if he could request me again as I was "really good". Flattered!

I've not really been active here yet, but on this autumn morning I'm appreciating my cat, Anya. Bluesky, meet Anya. She's enjoying the warm bit of floor where the heating pipes are. I'm trying not to stress the aching muscles in my core from last night's aikido class.
