#NIH I attended the Appropriations Committee hearing in-person and sat two rows behind the NIH DIrector. This man did not prepare this budget - Vought and OMB did…asked…but he would not admit it. In my 40 years of watching health policy and federal budgets…what a tragedy!!! GOD save America🙏🏾

#NIH #HHS A little wisdom. I am paying attention to everything- “eating the meat an spitting out the bones”. Also, my decades of experience have taught me that there is always opportunity in chaos and danger.

Several key points: 1) He Immediately sought to restore reviews and advisory councils. Everything should be back to normal by May. 2) The pass back plans that were leaked must have the NIH leadership input. There is bi-partisan support for keep NIH as a global crown jewel.
