Things aren’t looking great for the Cubs at the moment but, I dunno man. This season has given me a greater appreciation for the ballpark, the neighborhood, the people who make it come alive, being able to experience it with my kid.

The sun is coming up over Wrigleyville this morning. There’s at least one more game to be played at the Landmark. As a Cubs fan, you’re used to holding on to some shred of hope, regardless of how irrational it might be and, that’s what we got. Good morning from Chicago.

The marathon’s in a week, my left calf is tight enough to where pushing off it while running is a challenge but I have only missed two long runs (10 and 14) and hit most of my midweek runs so, whatever, we will just hope for the best and see how it goes.

Guys, I closed down Murphy’s last night and got El Burrito Mexicano on my way home. I have not done that in at least…nine years.

My almost two year old made it through nine full innings at Wrigley without a meltdown. Calling this a major, major parenting win.
