Ko-Fi update!

I’ve received a few returns in the past days. So if you placed an order some time ago and haven’t received it, it seems there might currently be an issue preventing me from shipping even flat items and documents to the USA.

I’m not sure if we had the first frost this morning, but it felt pretty close. It was fucking cold in my trailer. I still haven’t managed to fix my oven and I’m afraid this autumn might turn out to be a chilly one for me.

Finally it’s proper mushroom weather again! The past few weeks have been far too dry and I’ve been missing that damp, earthy air that makes the forests come alive with fungi. l can’t wait to see what treasures will pop up after the rain.

Today we went fossil hunting at the beach, collecting little treasures from ancient times. Last day before I will be thrown back into everyday life.

Yesterday’s mushroom search turned up empty, though I did find some beautiful moss along the way.

I’ve been knocked out for several days and now the mountain of things I need to sort out before the cold season begins just feels overwhelming. With my health in such bad shape, I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to get it all done.

Back home safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful convention possible, from the organizers to the lovely people I got to meet. It was such a joy to be part of it!

I really need to practice speaking English more often. Year after year I can feel myself losing fluency since I only get the chance to use it maybe once a year.

Day one of the convention was absolutely wonderful! I was beyond grateful that my health held up. No migraines and only minimal fibromyalgia pain which felt like such a blessing. Sadly things shifted overnight, and yesterday turned into a bit of a struggle, with pain and exhaustion weighing me down.

Argiope bruennichi. Spotted so many of them on my morning hike. Right now it’s just short walks around the ranch for me...I took a fall from the roof while fixing something and I’m feeling pretty rough and under the weather.

Even though life feels pretty chaotic right now, I try to carve out an hour in the morning just for myself, to focus on my health & go for a short hike. On the rare days I’m able to drive (eyesight/vertigo are giving me a hard time), I like to wander through the heather fields or explore the swamp.

Things aren’t going too well at the moment. There are a lot of stressors pulling me down and I’m having to face it all alone which is hard honestly. On top of that, I’m dealing with nasty health issues and barely know how to get though the day. I’m still pushing to get things done for EF though.

Morning hike.

Ever since our local post office closed, shipping has become a real challenge. I have to drive to the next city now, so there might be occasional delays of a few days when sending things out.

Every time I walk past this place, I think, “Oh wow, a deer!” …Then immediately, “Oh. Nope. Never mind.”
