I live near a large public university, and went to a small private college. See the range of employees (including but beyond faculty). Got me thinking—

Ha. Grasshopper Sparrow managed to bounce off my sliding glass door. Not badly hurt. Chatted at him for a bit, while he hung out a bit confused. Flew off okay when I went to step in for the bathroom.

Back home from fun trip. Drove to Wisconsin and back. Stayed w/ saw family. Uncles, aunts, cousins galore. Not close to extended fam, thanks to dad military, but good to reconnect after decades.

Holy shit. Haven’t woken up this far from home in years (and that was for work). 10+ hrs in the saddle yesterday (pretty much 6 to 6 total), so shorter drive today to finish.
