I want a study on the stats of ambidexterity when people use phones. What do most people use their left thumb on vs. right. Has it changed in the era of touch screen phones. For example, I only seem to “like” things with my left thumb and touch to begin editing text with my right.

If you are not into ham radio and you get on a scanner you might think we are just mega nerds having meta conversations about radio constantly. But, what’s beautiful about the hobby is that all that nerdy effort is all just so we can make contacts with people near and far. There is no other point.

I used to frequently drive up and down the PNW from Vancouver BC to Sacramento. After close to a decade of my last drive I noticed a yellow flower covering Oregon in a way I didn’t remember seeing.

Border patrol at the inspection site crossing from Arizona to California on the I-10. Further up on the 10 in California, maybe half an hour in, another CBP SUV in the median conducting a speed trap. 93 miles from the Mexican border when I checked, 7 miles short of being out of their jurisdiction.

Friday a United gate attendant forcibly scanned my face instead of my boarding pass when I explicitly asked to opt out of my biometrics being collected. I made a complaint and 3 days later I noticed gates were back to scanning boarding passes when flying through the same terminal. Then this today

Less than 2 hours til the deadline for submitting claims and paying property taxes to prevent foreclosure and the cops evacuated everyone out of the Fishbones atrium where the Treasurer’s office is processing forms today. People were in line for a long time and have lost their place.
