Thinking of buying a longarm machine. Any thought from the #quiltsky community? This would be for personal use only, not going into the business of quilting for others.

Going on my “to do someday” list. Completed quilt is 88” x 94”. The wings alone call for seven yards of fabric.

I like it, but the dimensions feel off. It should have the narrow borders on the top and bottom, too. That will make it 84” x 53”. That seems super tall and skinny.

Long shot here, but giving it a try. The friend of a friend is looking for this quilt pattern. Any guesses where it could possibly be found? Nothing to go on but this picture. Looks like a combo of bear paws and log cabin-ish blocks.

Progress on the bargello. Now to sew these strips together. They really aren’t bent, I just didn’t get them put up on the design wall very well.

This was a fun project. I don’t normally repeat patterns but I’ll redo this one multiple times for my guild’s charity organization. This one, though, is going to a cousin who asked for a quilt that had butterflies. Well, I didn’t like the pattern I had, then I saw this pattern. Measures 67” square.

Trying to decide if this needs a black outer border. Currently measures 72 1/2” x 55 1/2”.

If there’s ever a thread or museum of quilting regrets, I ave an item to add. In my mind it was going to be cute. The reality was anything but cute. What a disaster!

The bit of respect I used to have for Lisa Murkowski is long gone now.

Okay, I know zero about NYC politics, but I’m totally jealous of this energy!

If the Supreme Court no longer believes in upholding the Constitution then the final nail has been put into the coffin. It was a good run.

So school counselors are going to be replaced by a computer program rather than address the fact that there are too few school counselors, and those we do have are assigned ridiculously large caseloads and are given volumes of data entry tasks to manage rather than helping students?

In other news, just completed this quilt too. Picture is much more muted than the actual color. If someone puts this on their bed, it’s likely they won’t fall asleep due to the bright colors.

And updated name again to reflect updated reporting. I’m still not happy because they’ve been way too silent for way too long.

My Chewy shipment arrived.

I am close to the point of removing family members and friends from my life completely who still support what is going on. I’ve been trying to hang on to the concept of political differences shouldn’t end relationships, but I think we’ve moved way beyond political differences.

I’m so disturbed by current events that even baseball isn’t providing a distraction. I’ve deleted the MLB app from my phone. I just can’t right now. When will Congress act? There’s got to be good, decent, honorable folks who will do what what is needed to uphold the oath of office, right? Please?

Perhaps the Dodgers can now go back to homegrown talent?

If this was a rollercoaster at an amusement park it would be fun. This is not that and it is not fun.

Guess I still have one Dodger I can embrace.

I’m trying to be excited about baseball but I’m struggling. The weight of what is happening to our country is just too much to ignore and set aside. I wish I could do that and I envy those who can.

Another question, this one about this app. Why do I get only posts that are hours and hours old and nothing more recent than that? I’m still seeing people urging folks to call senators and urging them To vote “no” hours after 10 of them handed the country over to the dictator.

A couple of weeks ago I finished a little wall hanging quilt. Liked the pattern so much I did a second one but made it into a larger quilt I’m going to send to a friend who does custom tailoring to help make ends meet in their budget. It’s a surprise so don’t tell her.

Went to see a musical tonight. Hoped to come out at the conclusion to see that the world had healed. Will try again tomorrow.
