I sell all kinds of maps but the ones I'm most stoked about are made by creative people like @risd.cry. She's mapping where RISD students go to cry on campus. It's a lovely and thought-provoking project that reminds us, yes, we've all been there, but why have so many of us been driven there?

I would like more people to know about The Map Center but I've never bought ads and I don't want to start, especially if it means giving money to Mark Zuckerberg. Also it's kind of the best when people stumble in and their eyes get wide and they say "WHAT. IS. THIS. PLACE?"

I had a talk with someone earlier who very proudly informed me that they read only nonfiction. When I inquired why (dear God why), they simply said "I like my reading to teach me about the world." I laughed. All the facts in all the books in all the world cannot teach you any of what fiction does.
