Day 2 of vestibular episode (or something neurological we’re not sure). She still can’t walk or stand without help and can basically just lay down and sleep. She still won’t eat or drink any water. I just gave her the nausea med so hopefully that will help.

Lord this has been a shitty day. The vet saw her and she is slightly more stable now and can kind of walk and stand, but she’s still turning in circles and falling down. She got some medicine for nausea so that should hopefully get better. She puked all over the bed this morning 😑

Molly is having another vestibular episode (basically vertigo). She woke up around 9 walking in circles and stumbling. I gave her Dramamine but it hasn’t really seemed to do much. We have a vet appointment but it’s not until noon. They can’t really do much for it except treat the nausea anyway.

It’s supposed to be zero windchill in the morning. It was literally 70 a week ago. Lousy Smarch weather.

Really didn’t think I’d be out shoveling snow in mid-February 😵‍💫 ugh hopefully this will be the last time 🤞🏼 we had hours of rain and thunderstorms before it switched to ice and then snow, so it was mostly ice and mud so that was fun 😮‍💨

Yesterday my state posted the all-state etudes for next Fall. I just looked through them and one of the English horn etudes has multiple low Bb’s in it 😑🤦🏼‍♀️

Monday it was 70F, yesterday we had thunderstorms and golf ball sized hail. Today in the span of 10 minutes it went from pouring rain, to hail/sleet, to snow 😵‍💫 Mother Nature needs to get it together.

I just now put it together in my head that the Field museum is named after Marshall Field. I have a master’s degree. I just got 2nd place at trivia last night. I have lived in Chicago for 22 years. I thought it was like about nature. Please tell me your recent duh moments to make me feel better.

My husband and I got 3rd place at trivia! We won a $20 gift card for the restaurant! That’s only good on trivia nights. And expires in one month. And they only do trivia every other week. So we have literally only 2 chances to use this gift card. And of course we can’t go to either date 😂

Broke into Opryland after it was closed. We were at the Opryland hotel for All-State in high school. Everything was wet too bc it rained. Totally could have fallen and done something really stupid. We had to climb over a very tall fence to get out. Somehow we never got caught!

One was an engineer for UNIVAC. I actually don’t know what the other did. My mom was estranged from her father for most of her life and he died when I was young. I only remember seeing him a few times.

Guys I have the ENTIRE weekend off! And the whole day today! Literally the first weekend completely off since July that wasn’t a holiday or I wasn’t traveling. We’re going to see friends sing at a Broadway cabaret tonight and hanging out with friends we haven’t seen since last summer tomorrow!

I was worried last night because Very Elderly Dog Molly was not eating last night & seemed nauseous. I gave her anti-nausea meds but it seemed to not help. She wouldn’t even eat her treats which has never happened 😬 she was a little restless last night too. But this morning she seems back to normal

My new 4th grade student brought me presents to her second lesson. I guess the first one was a big hit!

My white boomer neighbor asked me if I was watching the SOTU while walking Molly. I didn’t know how to respond w/out knowing her politics so I just said “probably not!”. She responded “me neither” with a disgusted face so I breathed a sigh of relief 😅 and said “there’s much better things to watch!”

Eeeeeek it’s been announced officially so I can talk about it! Jekyll & Hyde is coming back next Fall and we’re playing on Broadway in Chicago! 🤩 I’m equally excited and terrified 😅 8 shows a week is going to take some getting used to.

Just going to continue yelling into the void forever that if you haven’t had an MMR booster within the last 10 years, you probably need one! My measles immunity was at zero when I had it tested about 6 months ago. I’m 45, I probably only had one MMR shot as a kid, I don’t remember. Get your shoots!

We went to check out the last day of the large scale model train exhibit at the Arborteum! It was very fun to watch, plus they had coffee and churros! We attempted a short hike afterwards but it was so cold we didn’t get very far 🥶 it was literally 65 earlier this week! 😵‍💫

This Old Dog has had a rough day 😢 up in the middle of the night having a giant puke, didn’t sleep well, whining early this morning for her daddy that was gone on a union trip, more pukes this morning, ate nothing all day until I made her some boiled chicken and rice that she had a little of.

I have to get up really early tomorrow and this week was incredibly exhausting, so I tried to go to bed really early. Just as I was drifting off to sleep, my dog jumps off the bed and pukes a giant vomit mountain all over the floor 😵‍💫 OF COURSE on the sliver of rug and not on the easy to clean wood.

Love that I didn’t order the custom case I wanted because tariffs from Brazil were 50% 😑 I guess I could have waited but there was no way to know when it would end and it took long enough to get a non-custom case.

During a 7th grade oboe lesson, there was a particularly awkward fingering combination in their band music that required a gross fingering combination. After they played it and made a disgusted face I said “did playing deal you psychic damage?” and they said yes lol.

Why are there always super high winds on Wednesdays?? How do I know it’s always Wednesday, you ask? Because that’s my trash pickup day and that means everyone’s bins are flying all over the dang place 😵‍💫💨

When I got home and was unloading my car, my neighbor’s new puppy was outside with them and came running over to say hi! He got so excited he peed all over my shoes 😂 I feel ✨blessed✨

I taught 4 middle school flute sectionals today. After demonstrating something for them, a 7th grader said “That sounded magical” 😂 I always appreciate the acknowledgment of my excellence 😁 it was fun, but good lord am I tired 🫩

Our driver’s ed teacher were both coaches. One wore two pairs of glasses at the same time “because bifocals look funny”. I had the other one that would make us stop for him to get coffee then drive out into the country.
