repel is actually one of the buffs that you'd rather see, really - it doesn't introduce rng like dodge - it griefs your damage less than cuts etc do - you can specifically counterplay it with healing, reactive dispels, using it to sack, using it for enmity, etc

it is correct to be some amount scared of content insufficient fear is how you get completely unprepared players trying to do versusia week 1 with no idea what they're doing; this is not good for them (they will not get anywhere and probably get frustrated) and not good for everyone else
