Finally tried a voice conversation with ChatGPT on my drive to the office. Asked about reinforcement learning and ended up with a great chat that gave me a much clearer picture of it and related areas. Really pretty amazing. It really felt like just having someone sitting next to me.

I wish Word supported Markdown. I'd love to have all of the collaboration and review support Word has but on Markdown files. I've heard there are extensions but that feels like a non-starter given how I'd mostly want it for collaboration with others.

The startup time on the new Visual Studio 2026 preview is really impressive. Even for a very large 100+ project solution, it opens in just a few seconds.

This weekend's project was a Python script I can use to finally rename years of photos and videos taken on our phones based on their EXIF data so they're sorted correctly and far easier to navigate and organize. github.com/gusper/Phone...

I'm not someone that follows F1 tons (and yes introduced to it because of the awesome Netflix series), but Lando Norris has always impressed me with how easy going he seems to be about really crappy stuff. Compared to the most others, he seems like such an outlier.

Just spent a couple hours trying to remap the Copilot key on my laptop to the End key. Failed miserably. I'm genuinely not sure it's even possible. I swore I had already done this, but it turns out I hadn't actually tested on my other laptop with a Copilot key.

Got the new keyboard. Build quality is wild. Surprisingly heavy. Keys feel super different. Actually, everything feels different. We'll see how it goes. (I wish I had a count of backspace presses this post required. Easily 20+ though.) @chuckguy55.bsky.social

Thinking of starting a movement around making "inline" replies in email a thing of the past. Quoting text and addressing it in your reply is so much cleaner even if it takes a little bit more work.

I give up. Severance is just not for me.

Finally looked into and got BlueBubbles working with Cloudflare's tunnels. The default setup worked pretty well but I did still find myself having to manually "Fetch Latest URL" pretty often. Now that should be a thing of the past with the new setup as it'll always be the same URL. Love this app.

My 2FA codes suddenly broke today and just realized it was because my new laptop's clock was off by almost two minutes. Not proud of the speed at which I figured this out though.

Setting up a new work laptop. Only way I was able to find I could get it to work (after trying pretty much every other option I could think of) involved finding a USB->LAN dongle. Glad I never threw that thing away and I was able to find it.

Tons of updates to guitartube.org. Almost all of them not user visible but amazed at how much I updated with Copilot GPT-5 Agent mode. The bulk of the changes where in the frontend which is what I have the least experience with. Would have taken me ages.

While updating my browser extension, I realized I use search engines far less than I used to. LLMs now handle most of my information gathering, and when I do search, it’s just for quick hits I know will be top-ranked.
