GPT4o API is very frustrating to work with sometimes when it completely ignores your instructions. Sometimes you’ll get the most incredible output and other times it’s like it can’t be bothered.

Is launching on ProductHunt still worth it?

Marketing a new SaaS is always more difficult than initially planned. Typoro is shaping extremely well. Beta users are getting great results. But marketing is so slow. Typoro sitting at $0MRR But 2 months ago Typoro didn’t exist at all.

I built PhatPost 2 weeks ago on Bubble and it's already having a signficiant impact on my LinkedIn growth.

I follow someone who's been talking about building his project for a year. So far, no evidence of that project. uhoh

Saturday evening stuff is going well

Meta ad manager is full of bugs. Today they hide the ad on off toggle. Yesterday they wouldn't let me select a CTA. yay

LinkedIn API is the biggest piece of crap I've worked with. Image & posts uploads need 4 api calls. You have to ask for image upload permission (call 1), then upload the image (call 2) then check to see if its uploaded (call 3) and then post it (call 4). Jeez.

It’s weird looking at the content here vs Threads. Here is full of tech people I follow and Discover is similar to those. Its great. Threads is odd, full of self diagnosed adhd threads, moaning, or stuff completely unrelated to my interests. Bluesky is the way forward.

Today I learned more js I wished I started doing this years ago. Js makes a lot of sense once you get your head around the initial steep curve. Hopefully within a few months I’ll be able to write better without looking up the answer every second.

I built a Chrome extension completely using AI. It converts Spotify URIs to URLs. You can also export the conversions to a CSV. It's free to use, but it's branded as Promoly and designed to build awareness back to Promoly.

Learning how to change the colour of a header when clicking a button using JS. I'm getting ChatGPT to give basic tasks with a few hints. Then, write in codepen. Give my code back to ChatGPT for review. Now I have to try and remember what I've learned.

It's crazy to see people spending a year building something that, if they really pushed, could be done in a week.
