The “fragmenting of shared reality undermines the democratic process itself”. Have we learned nothing from Cambridge Analytica’s manipulation of the 2016 Trump & Brexit votes? The use of AI, the collection of data, the “engineering of consent” needs rigorous regulation now, before its too late.
