Glad to announce that I started a new contract as Assistant Engineer in the LBBE (the lab where I did my PhD)! I will be working on the transmission of African Swine Fever and how vaccines can impact it.

Months ago, I reported an issue in ggplot2 (
github.com/tidyverse/gg...
). Glad to know that this issue was corrected in v4.0.0, and what a nice surpise to see my name in the acknowledgements of this new version!

Sometimes, while browsing the internet, I come across people wondering what to call Marie Curie. Marie or Maria? Simply Curie or Skłodowska-Curie? I researched the letters, books and documents she signed, and wrote a blog post summarizing my findings.

How to name Marie Curie? – Florian Lecorvaisier’s website
How must we name Marie Curie? I took some time to research how the two Nobel prizes winner wanted to be named.

Ever wondered how all the results displayed when printing the summary of a simple linear regression model in R are calculated? No? Well no matter, I made a Quarto document explaining it all.

Really interesting talks today at the "Modelling tools for vaccination" conference! Such different study subjects showing how modelling approaches are essential to better understand the epidemiological, sociological, ecological and evolutionary consequences of vaccination!

Just finished reading Antoine Balzeau's Histoire d'os. While the abstract was misleading (but I blame the editor for that!) the journey was really pleasant. So nice to see research projects/experiences turned into books like that!

Two weeks now before my thesis defense, and I finally finished reading The Origin of Species. What a ride! Now I feel more legitimate doing research in ecology & evolutionary biology. Thank you Mr. Darwin for your book, without you I wouldn't have a job!
