Another #Planetbase 2 structure in-game: the Monomer Refinery. It extracts CO2 from the martian atmosphere, and combines it with H2O, to produce Monomers. Take these to the Polymerization Reactor to make Plastic. Monitored from the Industrial Console in the Control Center.

We've just finished a new vehicle for #Planetbase 2: The Harvester. This vehicle can harvest Regolith, Iron Ore, Silicates and other surface materials.

Due to low gravity conditions, colonists on #Planetbase 2 will need to follow a strict exercise program to prevent bone and muscle mass loss.

This week we finished another new structure for #Planetbase 2: the Regolith Furnace This is a structure, that you get from the start, that can compact regolith from the planet surface into concrete blocks that can be used as building materials

In #Planetbase 2, the initial and resupply ships, will come equipped with: - Nuclear Reactor (with some amount of fuel) - Water Tank - Eating/Drinking/Sleeping Facilities This will provide you with some crucial initial support while you build your base.

Dome cameras are back for #Planetbase 2, but now with expanded rotation and zoom controls.

We are overhauling the food production overall for #Planetbase 2: - New selection of vegetables (that make more sense) - New food sources: Insects and Algae (and maybe more) - New recipes - New visuals for everything

We have tire tracks and footsteps in the game.

We've done a ton of work on the camera controls for #Planetbase 2. The way you move the camera is very FPS like, you use WASD do move, and hold the middle mouse button to look around.

#Planetbase 2 will have a completely overhauled placement UI, with clear feedback on where you can build and what you can connect structures to. It should make planing base layout much easier.

#Planetbase 2 has a brand new Scan Mode, the successor of #DawnOfMan's Primal Vision mode, where you can see resources, ground heat levels, and other stuff.

This is an initial mockup for the Pressurized Truck for #Planetbase 2. Colonists can use this vehicle without wearing a space suit, and use it to carry large amounts of resources over long distances.

Exoskeletons will be making a comeback in #Planetbase 2. These will help colonists carry heavy resources.

One of the many new features we are working on for #Planetbase 2 is Scan Mode. In this mode you can see overground and underground resources in the planet, so you can decide where to start your mining operations.

Just finished the Hangar structure for #Planetbase 2, this where you will be able to store various manned vehicles and drones.

We've finalized the first set of male and female models for the 4 base specializations for #Planetbase 2. We will add more hairstyles and faces, but this gives us a baseline to start working on the new animations.

We've added some more appearances for male colonists in #Planetbase 2 (more hairstyles and also female colonists soon).

#Planetbase Corporation will provide all new Mars colonists with standard hard hats and safety goggles. Your safety is our main concern (mostly).

We are working on the various models for the colonists for #Planetbase 2. This is all very WIP but we couldn't wait to show the initial models for the Worker/Engineer.

On Mars, Sandstorms are frequent. During these times Solar Panels, will cease to function and you will have to rely on a combination of Wind and Nuclear power, as well as Batteries.

This last week we've implemented the system for having various Natural Events in #Planetbase 2. So far we have Sandstorms, Solar Flares, Dust Devils and Meteors. We plan to add geysers (in Europa) and storms (in Titan), and maybe more. See the Dust Devils in action on Mars:
