#tavtoqd sometimes i feel like kyrus might not be very interesting or enjoyable. maybe they're even cliche in some ways. but i made kyrus for me, not for popularity. i will happily post about them in my own bubble.

#TavQOTD kyrus needs to let go of their father and the painful childhood he caused.

#tavqotd kyrus is a tiefling with completely jet black eyes. they don't have to try very hard to be scary. they have perfected an unhinged cackle with their usual shit eating grin to *really* put the fear of the gods into others.

#tavqotd kyrus is 5'5. they like their height (and scrawny build) as people often underestimate them. it gives them an advantage in fights, and other situations. i don't think they'd want to be any shorter though. all their LI's are taller. it's a fun bonus with halsin with the size difference 😂

#TavQotD i didn't plan it, but it was so clearly karlach. kyrus bonded with her immediately. like the sister they never had. they have many personality traits in common, and kyrus felt like they could trust her faster than anyone else in the group. they love fighting together and causing mischief.

#tavqotd definitely rain by sleep token. it feels like a conversation between kyrus and astarion about how they feel about each other and deciding to pursue a relationship. (also i still love the VP you made for me so much 🥰)

#tavqotd when kyrus falls into darker thoughts, they meditate and try to focus on their old mentor. if that fails, then astarion and halsin can pull them out of the darkness.

#tavqotd kyrus doesn't really hate any races. they feel a little weird about their own race (tiefling) as they didn't grown up around any or spend time with them so they have a bit of a complex about them lol. they'd like to know more about them.

#TavQOTD kyrus can produce flame, which they usually use to light up a pipe 🤣 or start a fire if they're sleeping in the forest. though they do that less often now gale's around.

#tavqotd kyrus has black eyes. people *definitely* notice them 😂 people find them unnerving or beautiful - no in between. they are reflective, but very difficult to see the iris. they get their eyes from their real dad, being part devil. their LI's say kyrus' eyes are like obsidian pools.

#TavQOTD kyrus cracks their knuckles and their neck to self sooth. chewing their lower lip is usually when they're lost in thought when stressed.

#tavqotd early game for sure. having a worm crawl into your brain via your eye is pretty panic inducing. everything on the ship was gross and weird. then it crashed. kyrus definitely thought they were going to die any second.

#tavqotd kyrus is a tiefling. astarion and halsin are elves and gale is a human. kyrus and gale will have roughly the same life span. kyrus' horns can kinda get in the way sometimes. kyrus experiences prejudices the others don't. it all works out well between them.

#TavQOTD this is temerity, my durge. goes through the events of bg3 alongside kyrus. she's a way of the four elements monk. i've not finished her playthrough, but she ends up with shadowheart and she's a redeemed durge. she starts out confused and scared, but she grows into her own person.

#tavqotd my absolute favourite of kyrus is when they are looking at the magic rolan casts at the tiefling party. i need to finish this playthrough to get more screenshots 😅

#tavtember #tavqotd kyrus typically has a shit eating grin. they would always grin in the ring, even if they were losing, to unnerve their opponent. if they're not grinning like a maniac, they are usually smirking. their LI's and friends make them smile a lot more genuinely than they ever have.

#tavtember #tavqotd kyrus doesn't find many things physically ugly. maybe the styles of rich folk, or certain colour combinations. they mostly find peoples attitudes ugly. prejudice, cruelty, selfishness. that kind of thing makes a person ugly to them.

#TavQOTD kyrus made sure everyone else was ok, then had a long sleep. when they woke hours later, it dawned on them everyone would be going their separate ways. this made them sad, so they spent as much time with everyone as they could before going off with astarion.

#tavtember #tavqotd kyrus' most prominent scar is across their nose. during a bareknuckle boxing match their opponent slipped on a knuckle duster and broke kyrus' nose and cut it pretty badly (it was a poor punch). kyrus beat the shit out of them and won. they LOVE retelling that story to everyone 🤣

#TavQOTD kyrus has a mohawk and has kept it that way for years "because it's cool" and too much hair is annoying. as a child, they would hack off their hair with a dagger to keep it out of their face. eventually as a teenager a friend taught them how to cut it themselves properly.

#tavtember #tavqotd things kyrus finds beautiful: the night sky, moonlight, trees swaying in the breeze, someone's eyes when they genuinely smile, the way bruises and scars show up on skin. they don't really find many things ugly. maybe things that are rotting.

#tavqotd in my own head canon my tav is in the game with durge, but it's not the default. she's called temerity. she does profess she is feeling these urges and having flashes of blood lust. kyrus is understandably concerned, but they listen and offer to help, in anyway they can.

#tavqotd tara thinks kyrus is boorish, and definitely needs to learn how to live among polite society, but she sees their heart is in the right place and that they care a lot about gale. kyrus detests mystra almost as much as tara does, so they bond over that 🤣

#tavtember #tavqotd kyrus had to learn how to be affectionate as it was not natural to them. they would stiffen up at a pat on the shoulder, let alone a hug. their LI's eventually bring it out of them and once they do kyrus is not shy about initiating or receiving it, to a point.

#tavqotd kyrus' nightmares are always the same. their mother screaming in pain, horrible cackling they don't recognise, their father's violence, flames, blood, their mentor being killed.

#tavqotd before kyrus straight up stopped sleeping to avoid nightmares entirely, when they woke from one they would go and dunk their head into cold water. if that wasn't an option they would slap themselves a few times and scream into their pillow/balled up jacket.

#tavtember #tavqotd fruit was a childhood treat for kyrus. they rarely got it growing up. as an adult treats for them are really expensive alcohol, going to see performances, a large comfy bed.

#tavqotd kyrus would yap about martial arts, effective fighting stances. they would teach kingsley how to meditate and how to channel life energy.

#tavqotd kyrus drinks frequently, so they have a high tolerance. tipsy kyrus is usually fun. drunk kyrus is the one that causes problems. loud, over confident, easily starts fights. astarion will complain, gale will be embarrassed, halsin will hoist them over his shoulder and take them away lol.

#tavqotd kyrus means "sun" or "like the sun". old persian for symbolising radiance. their mother named them that as she felt like kyrus would be her little ray of sun 😭 shame she never got to see them shine.
