Happy #Habs game day my BlueSky friends. An important week for the #Habs starting with tonight’s game against the Leafs. To keep pace with all the teams in the playoff race they need to win 3 out of 4 games. #Habs can’t take the Leafs for granted and have to come out better than they did last game.

The Kings had 6 or 7 excellent chances on the PP. The #Habs are way to passive on the PK.

But as harsh as it is, it’s right on the button when it comes to Montembeault. Long shots are his weakness.

A couple of weeks ago MoneyPuck.com had the #Habs’ odds of making the playoffs at around 85%. Today it’s around 80%. Still pretty good odds of getting in. I just don’t understand why some people are so negative about them. Let’s enjoy the ride and cheer for one of the youngest teams in the NHL.

So now that the deadline has passed and Laine is still a #Habs, my understanding is that he was on IR so his salary was under the ceiling. Post deadline does that mean he’s reactivate to active status because the only thing that matters now is cap space and not the number of players on the roster?

Didn’t watch the game last night because of the late start but I’m looking at the boxscore this morning and 2 things jumped out at me. 1st it seems Dobes didn’t have a good game and 2nd, both Suzuki and Caufield were at -3. They obviously didn’t have a good game. Hard to win given those facts.

So looking at the MoneyPuck.com website this morning. It shows Toronto’s chances of making the playoff at 1.2%.I think they can start thinking about being sellers at this year’s deadline. Others with low chances include the Devils, Blackhawks, Blues, Flames, Panthers, Jets, Canucks and the Rangers.

Not one to criticize any of the #Habs players but Slafkovsky’s game last night was one of his worst games in a while. He finished the game at a -2, made some really foolish passes late in the game. Can’t believe MSL had him on the ice to defend the 6 on 5 after playing such a bad game.

Great analysis of last night’s game Brian. After watching Schaefer I have to agree with you that he’s the odds on favourite for the Calder.
