I think Kris being AMAB works the best narratively. The Snowgrave route puts them in a sort of heteronormative relationship with Noelle and I personally think that's more impactful if Kris has expected to be "male" since birth.

I do think the eggs at most will unlock a room, change some dialogue, or a small boss like mike (i know mike isn't "small" with his gimmick but idc), theres no realistic reason that they'll change the main story in some drastic way.
