Pleased with myself. I now have a working server. Old M1 Mac as the brains running Asahi #linux perfectly. 8TB of storage (so far). Joplin server, nextcloud running. But man, 3TB of data takes a long time to transfer using rsync. Still, only have to run it once. 😀🤖

One of the things I like about down time is the capacity to read not for work. I've started Around The World in 80 Days, first time I've read it for forty years. A friend of mine described it as "a spreadsheet in prose form". Unfair? Perhaps. But still a decent read.

Bikes were delivered without issue. We took off from Negombo and made it to Kalpitiya. It's lovely. All salt and sand and bleached white colours.
