I came across this upload of it & it's awesome seeing an FMW Classics channel with clean, recognizable thumbnails with the era accurate logos. This is such an awesome match. Should've been on my MOTY list. The only match I can remember capturing a similar chaos was DBD V N1's Boston Street Fight.

GME contender for sure. Looking back on John's work, I feel like there's a grit or a rough around the edges feel to how he worked around this period that I find unique & refreshing. It's almost a stark contrast to someone like Bret Hart yet similar to him, he had that special something that clicked.

Not much wrestling really has captured the same magic as this. Terry was amazing in this from his promo (Ringside & the one where he setup the challenge), the vocal trash talk, selling & so on.

Saw this on YT a few years ago & yeah, fuckin' awesome match. Wrestling soulmates.

I often went back & forth between finding it overrated & underrated. The former for the blood & the latter for both the mens' performances & the stuff before the blood came into play. Regardless, awesome match.
