The painters finished the basement this afternoon. Our newly moody, very sophisticated navy basement is gorgeous. Look, it's not everyone's cup of tea - but we LOVE it. And the painter admired our light up stairs too. It's going to be so good...

Stair work on our basement today. I had seen these motion sensor stair lights that will turn on as you go up the steps. They're installing it today. The world is burning, but here I am finding joy in stair lights. You gotta find the joy somewhere, right?

The subcontractor working on our basement today just asked me if I would revamp his business website.... OK, making money while spending lots of it. I like this arrangement. Psssttt...don't tell him that my least favorite "job" is revamping websites.
