I’m terrible with line combinations (I’ll work on that this season), but two things I’ve noticed today: • on the forward side, the team has played a line of Woz - Vasko - Hemp, their fourth line in preseason • on the defensive side, Guilday and Larocque have been paired together

In local Ottawa women’s hockey, Nepean Jr Wildcats forward Carly O’Connor has made it official, signing with St Lawrence University. The Ottawa, Ontario native will begin her collegiate career next fall.

The Ottawa Charge have also announced that Alexa Vasko, Peyton Hemp, Kathryn Reilly and Kendra Woodland have signed one-year contracts.

The Ottawa Charge have released their roster for the 2025-26 season. The team also announces the additions of reserves defender Vita Poniatovskaia, a canoe invitee, and forward Olivia Wallin, who was drafted by Seattle.

Èlizabeth Giguère, who signed as a free agent in the offseason with Ottawa, has signed as a reserve with Minnesota.

The Toronto Sceptres announce the signing of forwards Kiara Zanon, Sara Hjalmarsson, and Clara Van Wieren to one-year contracts. Goaltender Jessie McPherson has signed a two-year contract.

I am terribly late to this but…better late than never! Minnesota and Vancouver made a trade earlier this evening, which saw Minnesota acquire forward Denisa Křížová from Vancouver in exchange for forward Anna Segedi. As has already been pointed out, Křížová returns to Minny.

Some U22 Elite news, as Etobicoke Dolphins forward Haley Box has signed with the University of Wisconsin. Box is currently fifth in league scoring with 15 goals and 13 assists, averaging 1.56 points per game.

A few thoughts on Ottawa’s roster decisions: • Poniatovskaia: I thought she more than handled herself in scrimmages. Never looked out of place, rushed, or lacked confidence • Angers: stings, but Woodland did outplay her • Giguère: saw it coming, was largely invisible

Amy Sheer, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the PWHL, provided an update today on the current situation between the league and the city of Ottawa.

RE coaching challenge: “Through discussions and how we can make the game better, we all agreed that we should get the call right first. We have the capabilities through the central situation room, so we thought it was a great way to ensure that the calls are right.” - Sheer

Amy Sheer shared some ticket numbers: • ticket sales for the original six teams are up 9.5% year-over-year • Takeover Tour ticket sales: 55% higher than this time last year

Sheer RE Lansdowne: “We were very clear that we wanted a seat at the table. We felt we were forced to go public because we were really just left behind. The city was very clear on where we fit in the ecosystem of their sports. And that is nowhere.”

Sheer RE Lansdowne 2.0: “We will not go backwards. We will not play in a 5,500 seat building. We have been very clear with the city, but the job now is to find out what the best alternative is for the Ottawa Charge. We are looking at every option to stay in Ottawa.”

Jayna Hefford: • Trade Deadline: March 30th • Roster Freeze: March 31st • Playoff format will stay the same: top four teams make the playoffs
