Static blog site generator : Hugo or Jekyll ?

So many ideas for my little bomberman clone. Too many. But i have to take controls into consideration. 4 moving controls (directions) and no more than two action controls (normal/bomb laying) + special action (perk activation ?).

The #procgen normal texture is controlled by 3 parameters : detail, sharpness and "lush". It is based on a fBm fractal worley noise. It is meant for ground texture. The "real" colors will come later (and that will be fun to explain how). #Godot #glsl #IndieGameDev #gamedev #solodev

More on procgen texture using fractal Worley. The "parameter" texture channels are : R: Octaves/Detail, G: Distance easing, B: Distance maxing (round contour vs. straight line poly). Here, detail changed dynamically, easing on Y axis, contour on X axis. #Godot #glsl #gamedev #procgen

Procedural texture controlled by a parameter texture. This is based on fractal Worley noise. For now, one channel of the control texture contains octave and another channel the easing exponent. The transition between octaves is seamless. #Godot #gamedev #glsl

Doing some maths again. Very relaxing. Making shaders is like meditation.

@kenney.nl icons for keyboards and mouse are really great and are a must have for any game that propose input remapping. However, there's some missing keys, like right/left shift/alt/ctrl , mouse extra buttons and mouse wheel left/right, numpad variations. Enters my poor programmer art skills !

Wrote a #python script that uses a JSON file to extract data from a collection of XML files in order to generate a #godot script that populates and saves a complex resource file. What would i not do to automate things, right ? ;)

Taking a small break from the current task (still working on the controls visual cue) to dive into cool mathematics : procedural texture generation with variable fBm to generate smooth transitions from coarse to fine (like rock to peeble to sand). Find it relaxing.

Working on this idea of a proxy inspector in godot It's a resource class that lets you edit props of other objects. An inspector for workflows rather than nodes. You can have many different proxy inspectors for different workflows. No plugins

Coding a #godot subscene to accurately represent an input event. It relies on fonts from @kenney.nl to represent controls (many thanks for that brilliant idea about storing symbols), and Noto when it comes to specific locale glyphs. Still have to manage font variations for controllers (xbox,etc.)
