Passed 60,000 words on my WIP tonight (working title: Who is the Horror?)

There's an awesome anthology coming, and big thanks to everyone who has supported this campaign so far! We're into single digit days to go, but there's still time to help towards the stretch goals, including the amazing idea for an audiobook🥹

I’ve had an amazing September, writing 20,000 words on my WIP, seeing the anthology I have two stories included in be funded on Kickstarter, and signing the contract for my horror novella to be published! Wondering if I might manage a book sale/page reads to round of the month🤔🤷‍♂️

I’m delighted to announce that my first ever horror novella, Seeking Sanctuary, will be published by @gravesidepress.bsky.social next year! Can’t believe I found a home for my dark, demon filled story, and it’s with such a cool press, full of fab folks 😁😈🖤

Yeah!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported this anthology and made it a reality! There’s more to come if people are still interested in the next couple of weeks (an audiobook of these stories would be soooooo cool)

Battling around a head cold to write, but this chapter promises to be so good, I can wait no longer to get it typed...

After a break from writing, it feels so good to be back to it. I've written every night for the past week, raking up 15,000 new words on my WIP! And I've loved every minute😁

After three weeks off, I've written every night since Tuesday, raking up more than 8,500 words. Tonight I passed 40,000 words on my WIP, and I couldn't be happier to have my writing mojo again!

I was watching a cartoon with my little one, and one of the characters said: "I'm a palaeontologist, do you know what that means?" Me: "Of course, you've had three divorces, an on-off relationship with your sister's roommate, and spend way too much time drinking coffee with your Friends." 😂

It's been three weeks since I did any writing. Tonight, though, I added another chapter (1,500 words) to the sequel for Who Watches the Horror! It felt glorious. The words are by no means perfect, but it was progress and it felt

I’m just going to put it out there. Alice in Borderland is better than Squid Games😈 (The Jack of Hearts game was gut wrenching and I was only watching it!)

So I didn’t get any writing done last Friday. Or since. And the next few days are going to be taken up with other stuff. And now I do want to write. But it’s okay. I’m going to hang onto the feeling, do what I need to, and finish watching Alice in Borderland. Then plenty of writing next week!

Started watching Alice in Borderland and I’m really enjoying the strangeness that suddenly brings strangers together to take on twisted tasks. It’s very much like my novel Who Watches the Horror. If you like horror with a hint of Sci-Fi, it’s well worth checking out both👍😈

Need to get back to writing, but not quite feeling it…

I may have watched five zombie films over the last couple of days😬 So no writing done, but I feel very prepared for when the apocalypse comes 🧟‍♂️

I may have channelled way too much of my creative energy into coming up with a pun-filled name for my Fantasy Football Team today… And the worst thing is I came up with stacks and can only use one of them🤦‍♂️

Some days I don’t know what’s worse: Constantly checking to see if I’ve sold another book Or Constantly checking to see if there’s a new review by someone who did buy a book

I can't believe it's been a week and I've added another 10,000 words to the sequel of Who Watches the Horror? That's 30,000 and counting!

Sort of liking that it’s not halfway through August yet and the Halloween stuff is out in the shops! Not so keen about the Christmas stuff being next to it…🤦‍♂️

Wow! Who Watches the Horror? has made it into the top 900 for British Horror on Amazon! I genuinely think that’s the highest any of my books has ever made it up a ranking🤩

Last night, I asked my Mum if she’d help me make a crumble. It was good to use up the last of the rhubarb and we had crumble mix in the freezer. When my wife got home, I served up pudding. As she took a mouthful she said: “There isn’t crumble mix in the freezer, only breadcrumbs…”🤦‍♂️
