Yesterday before I spent a good 7 hours giving myself a headache working on that cursed dress, I went outside and put some bok choy seeds into a big pot, spread some carrot sprouts in another pot, and added some spinach seeds to an empty patch in a third pot. Outside was a good idea.

I'm gonna go crochet something. That shit is soothing. This dress stressed me out today.

The lesson here is that if you take 7 months off from sewing, you will not jump right in and power through your first project like you haven't taken a hiatus. My dress is still not done. I've unpicked so much of my work. This is MY pattern too. I just forgot the order of operation completely.

Honestly the best one ever, and I feel like folks don't value it enough.

I promised I would speed run the dress like I've been saying for a whole week now, so no crochet today. But I did watch some Tunisian crochet videos, and read a fascinating blog post about whether or not standard crochet or Tunisian crochet uses more yarn. It said Tunisian crochet by 26-33%.

Once again I did not finish my dress, but I did not have to unpick anything so that's good. Though I cut 2 of something when I should have cut 4 so I had to go looking for scrap. I promise I will finish this tomorrow. I want to wear it out on Monday.

I have, spent 3 hours crocheting my sweater. Now I will go sew my dress. First let me cry over my shawl. I put in my washer on the gentle cycle for 15 minutes with cold water in a mesh bag and it partially felted anyway. That was my first all wool shawl. My stitches looked so clean last week.😢😭😭😭

I saw this terrible idea, veggie pasta with kidney beans. Since I was cooking kidney beans at midnight because someone forgot they were soaking all day, I wanted something quick. Came out good. I'm sad I wasted my beans this way, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
