I’m not a fan of Madonna. She’s not my Kween and she’s most certainly not my Motha. I think she’s quite an unpleasant person. It’s apparent in all her interviews - including last night’s Norton one. Some great singles though. However, everything I’ve heard from her new album sounds kind of amazing.

We went to a pottery festival thing in North Wales. My other half is a potter now. It was lovely. I couldn’t walk past this AMAZING pottery Zombie Morph on one of the stalls. The potter was a proper stoner and his work was brilliant. So I brought this one home. I’m calling him Mardy and I LOVE him.

I was a big fan of David A Jaycock’s ‘Music For Space Age Shopping’, and this follow-up is equally impressive. Capturing an early 80’s sound (lovely synths) that concepts the nuclear war paranoia we all had while we went shopping with our mum’s at the weekend in 1984. Vivid stuff.

This cover version of ABBA’s best song makes the track even more ominous and a lot more sci-fi. It’s not as good as the original of course. But the fact they had the hard neck to cover it at all - and get away with it - is quite something. I like it a lot.

Thought I’d take advantage of the morning sunshine on the balcony to take my annual selfie. Jesus, the grey is REALLY showing these days. Yup, still struggling with this ageing malarkey.

So I did a flurry of posts on Bluesky this morning (is two posts a flurry?) and already I’m regretting the noise in my head of “what should I post next?” I was going to say something about my lack of any joy/interest about Eurovision this year but it was just making me sad. Here’s a duck.

Another regular reminder of my advancing years. Ageing does not sit well with me. The Monday morning ritual of divvying up the week’s medication. Now all neatly filed in my extremely homosexual pill boxes.

We took a wee day trip to Cumbria at the weekend to pick up a kiln. Don’t ask. I’m a pottery widow now. Stopped at Ulverston for an independent coffee/lesbian scone break and popped into a nearby chazza. Lovely finds. I’m 57. What can I say. I love a chazza.
