Switching to less crowded platforms helped a lot with my screen time. Not good news for the platform obviously, but definitely a huge win for me.

I get it’s all about engagement, but man, do I hate the constant push for video content on every single platform. Every. Single. Platform!

📺 📽️ 📚 Before jumping into season 4 of Upload, I want to share some thoughts on another series — Wheel of Time. I heard about the cancellation while I was halfway into season 3. The frustrating part is, I thought season 2 was when the show started finding its own voice and actually building on it.🔽

I still think about the mission generator I wrote for our unreleased game. The code was simple — just like the game itself — but it covered every ground possible. Sadly, the game never saw the light of day, so that little piece of code just sits there, waiting for its chance to shine. #gamedev

⚽ I get why players stick to the same goal celebration — branding, image, all that stuff. But for me, the great ones lose their minds when they score instead of thinking about PR.

We’ve traded control of our lives for convenience, handing it to a handful of people. That balance needs to shift. First, decentralize devices and software where we can. Second, take them offline. The future shouldn’t be “always online” — it should be “online when we want it.”

Years ago, I was against blocking or silencing people on my social media. Everyone should be free to share their opinions and I still believe that. What’s changed is the flood of manipulative accounts farming clicks and stirring rage. That's unbearable. What I do now? I block them straight away.

I’ve been watching videos of Ultima Online free shards lately — mostly Outlands. I last played years ago, and seeing how far things have come feels unreal. One day, I’d love to jump back in and experience it for myself. I really miss fishing... 🎣

🎮 Once in a while, I stumble onto an idle game that scratches the itch. I’ll sink a few hours into it over a couple of days and then move on. This time, it was Realm Grinder, which somehow managed to eat up six hours of my life. Here are my thoughts on it, and on the genre in general: 🔽

📽️ The King’s Man turned out to be a solid prequel to the Kingsman series. I’m not sure where the franchise should go from here — or if it even needs to — but if you enjoy the series, this entry is worth a watch. Personally, I found it to be better than The Golden Circle. Rating: 6/10

📺 📽️ Chef’s Table: Pizza was a huge disappointment. I went in excited to watch renowned chefs craft their signature pizzas — and yes, I did get to see them make those pizzas. But I was also subjected to an unnecessary push for overblown storytelling.

One of my socks is basically a patchwork of hope, holding together by a single thread. Hang in there buddy!

📽️ Even with its all-star cast, The Quick and the Dead’s script just doesn’t measure up. It’s basically the Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat movie of the same era — only with gunfights instead of fistfights. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. Rating: 4/10 www.imdb.com/title/tt0114...

Even the blandest game comes alive when you’re playing with friends. I miss those days.

📽️ Happy Gilmore has what I enjoy about pre-2000s comedies: absurd, illogical, and unapologetically focused on giving you a good time. It’s not “peak cinema” or an all-time classic for me, but it was fun enough that I’ll probably watch the second one too. And honestly, I like that. Rating: 6/10

📽️ I was really looking forward to In Bruges after all the praise, but it didn’t quite connect with me. It’s not a bad film by any means, just not as great as I’d hoped. Rating: 6/10

📺 📽️ Running Point is an easy-to-watch show that doesn’t ask much from the viewer. It’s made up of 30-minute episodes — perfect for winding down after a long day without much effort. The pacing is well done, so it goes by smoothly. 🔽

From TED Talks to celebrity interviews I don’t even recognize, and postmortems of games I’ve never played — I just cleared out 700+ videos from my “Watch Later” list. Why did I even save those? Like… why would I ever need to learn about "Starbucks marketing"?

There are certain topics you know something's off about, but social pressure keeps you from saying anything. So you hold back, tiptoe around the consensus, wait it out... and eventually, you’re proven right. That feeling...

Next up: Horizon Chase 2. I liked the first game back in the day, even though it began to lose its edge later on. This one feels pretty much the same. If you're craving more of that, it's worth a shot — otherwise, safe to skip.

Tried a Sarah Silverman stand-up for the first time — PostMortem. While it wasn’t traditionally funny, I appreciated how openly she shared such personal stories on stage. Curious to check out her other Netflix special as well. Rating: 6/10 www.imdb.com/title/tt3647...

Tomb of the Mask is exactly the kind of game I love — until I hit that one level I just can’t swipe fast enough to beat 😅 Still, it’s a great arcade game for mobile. Definitely recommended!

📽️ The Substance felt predictable from the start, and its subtext didn’t offer anything new. I get that the hype might’ve been driven by Margaret Qualley’s rising stardom or the shock of the final act... but it just didn’t work for me. 🤷 Rating: 5/10

First Balatro win!

Started with Jungle/Fiesta Run on mobile and moved on to Origins on PC—I really liked the direction Rayman took. Some don’t love the on-rails "git gud" style, but I was hooked. I played through each level obsessively until I got everything. 🔽

I was never a daily user, but Skype was always high on my go-to list. Sad to see it shutting down. Teams just feels like a different beast—not really a direct successor. That ringtone will be missed.

📽️ The Equalizer might be one of the most consistent action series I've seen. Most action series peak early and fall off, but not here. All three movies were a blast. Not classics, but if you like crime-action, you definitely shouldn’t miss out. Overall: 7-7,5/10

I just hope this whole "chicken jockey" thing is a marketing stunt.

Not sure if the Bluesky algorithm is inadequate for discovering new content and people, or if there just isn’t enough content yet. The struggle is real.
