After months of teaching my daughter how to drive, parallel park, three-point turn, etc. (she passed her driver’s test today), she was docked points for not using hand signals. She took her test in a car, not a horse and buggy. Bruh!

My new school is a humbling place to be. Analyzing Plato with colleagues. Interpreting Shakespeare sonnets. Digging deep into Frost. But that humbling sensation is hunger. Hunger to learn, to connect, to be. I’ll contribute when I’m ready. In the meantime, I’ll bring my best self. #EDUsky #mathChat

I didn’t get dumber every day, but for the past four years I was never challenged (or expected) to go beyond teaching to a test. Trust me, I tried. “Pump the brakes” and “stay in your lane” were the expectations. I’m glad to have found a place where that is definitely not the case. #EDUsky #mathChat
