I was commissioned to create the cover for this language learning book for the Naskapi nation of Kawawachikamach. These books are currently being used to teach reading and writing this school year at the local Naskapi elementary school.

Big thank you to everyone getting the Pilgrim sticker sheets and joining our Pátrèòn! Believe it or not, drawing comics does not bring in much money at all, so expenses were a concern as we started to understand the scope of Pilgrim’s care.

When I was little I told my mom I wanted to be a veterinarian because I love animals so much. She (gently) told me about how it could be very difficult emotionally. How do you guard your heart? How do you not feel guilt every time you fail them? I’m glad my heart loves so much, but wow it hurts too.
