My husband and I had the pleasure of traveling to Iceland in July and were struck by the amount of migratory birds we saw in the Westfjords. We saw many species we had never seen before, including arctic terns, who fiercely protect their nesting grounds. #watercolor #seascape #arcticterns #fog

Orcas are my favorite cetaceans. A couple weeks ago, we had a few orcas come into Bellingham Bay, likely looking for harbor seals. I didn't see them, but always look out to the bay in hopes of one day seeing the dorsal fins of these beauties. #watercolor #orcas #cetaceans #salishsea
