There is a story breaking in the telegraph that certain MP’s have been renting out the flats they own, and then renting a second property which they can then claim for. We know some MP’s do this because otherwise they can’t claim expenses. What’s new is apparently some are renting to each other

Another lovely day canvassing this time with top county councillor Cheryl Cottle-Hunkin in tiny hamlets and farms which surround Holsworthy. Lots of positive support but it will be close between Reform and us.

Nigel Farage and the Reform Party’s Taliban Tax means sending hundreds of millions of taxpayers' money to an oppressive regime that British soldiers fought and died to defeat.

Farage is making a big issue of immigration but don’t forget he was one of the main causes of it, under EU rules immigrants could be returned to the first European country they entered but BREXIT ended that ruling. Thanks Farage.

Just got a new book for my birthday so found out today the ballot act received royal assent on this day in 1872. Up until then it was perfectly okay to know how everyone voted so wasn’t secret, Liberal PM Gladstone changed that along with stopping bribing the electorate and no spending limits.

Now that 16/17 yrs olds are to get the vote. Can we please see all schools offering information on politics. Democracy sufferers when we don’t take part, so hopefully this will bring on a generation who will engage earlier and help shape a future they will inherit.

labour have made a surprise announcement that 16/17 year olds can vote at the next general election. Something the Lib Dem’s have been campaigning for over many years. How lucky they are that this unplanned announcement came the same day as people are questioning why 4 Lab MP’S were suspended.
