ON: Highway 17 between Neys and Marathon closed due to collision Tuesday morning, which left a tractor-trailer jackknifed. With any luck this will be cleared up quickly.

BC: Sea to Sky Highway #99 WILL BE CLOSED south of Lillooet to Seton Lake starting Sun Jan 11 at 8 pm PST (likely until sometime Monday morning). There will be heavy rain, expected to wash debris onto the road.

ON: Freezing rain (1 to 5 mm of ice build up) continues along Highway #400 and Macdonald Cartier Highway #401 corridors between Kitchener, Barrie and Brockville through early this evening. Areas near the Lake Ontario shoreline may see less ice accretion or build up.

ON: Areas of freezing drizzle along Trans-Canada #17 and Northern Route #11 between Nipigon and North Bay. Light ice build up on some surfaces is possible this afternoon and tonight. Icy surfaces will likely form and could be difficult to detect.

BC: Long period of snowfall (30 cm) along Coquihalla Highway #5 between Hope and Merritt this morning through Wednesday. Heavy snow at the Coquihalla Summit today but snow will continue through Wednesday

BC: Snowfall (15 to 25 cm) along Sea to Sky #99 between Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton today, reducing visibilities and making travel difficult. Snow is expected to ease later this afternoon.

BC: Trans-Canada Highway #1 at Rogers Pass (between Revelstoke and Golden for 142.5 km) has avalanche control work planned, starting Tue Jan 6 at 11 am PST until about 7 pm. Commercial vehicles Eastbound will be held in Malakwa (just east of Sicamous) for the duration of the closure.

BC/AB: Snowfall (15 to 25 cm) along Crowsnest Highway #3 around Elko- Fernie- Crowsnest Pass on Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

BC: Snowfall ( 15 to 20 cm) along Crowsnest Highway #3 near Kootenay Pass will intensify this morning and taper off early this afternoon

NL: Adverse winter weather is expected along Trans-Canada #1 across central and eastern Newfoundland east of Bishop's Falls, and the Avalon Peninsula over Sunday night until Monday afternoon. A low pressure system can bring a period of accumulating snow before transitioning over to rain.

NS: Snow squalls (5 cm or more ) along Trans-Canada #104 in the Truro area and south along #102 toward Halifax, and #101 along the Bay of Fundy tonight. During the snow squall bands, visibility will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.

ON: Snow Squall (5 to 10 cm) with lake effect snow along Trans-Canada #17 Wawa to Sault Ste Marie, weakening this evening. Westerly to northwesterly winds gusting to near 50 km/h will result in local blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility.

BC: Period of freezing rain along Crowsnest Highway #3 especially near Osoyoos, West Kootenay including Trail and Rossland, and Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass over Saturday morning.

BC: Fog along Trans- Canada #1 on Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver. Widespread fog reducing visibility to near zero.

ON: Major winter storm (30 to 50 cm) expected Sunday evening to Monday night along Trans-Canada #17 Wawa to Sudbury and Northern Route #11 from Cochrane to Kirkland Lake. Lighter snow (15-20 cm) along #17 Sudbury to Mattawa. Northerly winds (to 60 km/h) bring blowing snow and zero visibility .

ON: Intermittent freezing rain is expected along Trans-Canada #17 from Manitoba border and Kenora to Thunder Bay area this morning into this evening, with possible icy and slippery surfaces.

SK/MB: Fog Advisory Along Trans-Canada #1 between Regina and Portage la Prairie (and parts of southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba). Motorists should be advised that areas of near-zero visibility are occurring. The fog should dissipate Saturday afternoon as a cold front moves in.

NL: Fresh snowfall (10 to 15 cm) and strong winds across eastern Newfoundland will combine to cause poor visibility in blowing snow. Maximum wind gusts into Thursday evening are northwesterly 60 to 80 km/h.

AB: Snowfall (15 to 20 cm) will continue today along Icefields Parkway #93, between Lake Louise and Jasper, this afternoon into Wednesday evening.

AB: Significant snow (10 to 20 cm) along Yellowhead Highway #16 across central Alberta beginning late Wednesday morning. Snow is expected to begin near Red Deer moving northeast through the day, reaching Edmonton and areas near the Saskatchewan border by the afternoon.
