I realized after reading the Powerless Trilogy, I don’t love trauma dumping on characters. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not mad I read those books, but it’s frustrating when the closure does not even deal with the massive amounts of trauma Paedyn endured. It’s a “hey look! It’s a happyish ending!” 💙📚

I noticed something today watching Moana with my fam. In an honor/shame culture, Moana’s mom risked a lot of shame in helping Moana “escape,” so she must have believed fully in what Moana wanted to do that the honor of Moana’s return would out measure the shame of her helping.

I absolutely *loathe* the hawking of bibles as a get rich scheme. He sees a bible as a way to finance his legal issues that he wouldn't have had he paid attention to the actual contents of the bible. I see it as a story of redemption and sanctity. not all of us want to hawk our faith.
